This summer, I will be doing my Explorer Belt award, which is one of the top awards in scouting.
To achieve this, you must undertake a 10-day expedition as part of a team outside of the UK with a minimum travelling time of 50 hours over the 10 days, by foot, cycle, horse, canoe, boat or dinghy. I will be going to Sweden and Norway in a team of 6, but currently we don’t really know much more, as the first training day we had was mostly about getting to know people and establishing the basics to complete the award, however we do have another training weekend soon, where we will begin planning, as we also need to establish what our 1 major project is going to be and our 10 minor projects, as we also need to complete these to earn our award.
