Every year, we go on Remembrance parade , to remember the service and sacrifice of the Armed Forces community from United Kingdom and the Commonwealth. We will remember them.
This is one of the 2 events in the year where it is expected for us to be in full uniform, which means having an ironed shirt and knecker, as well as smart trousers and shoes.
As someone who is from a scouting family, this means a lot of preparation before the parade and service on Sunday morning.
Today, I have ironded 4 shirts (one for each of us) and my trousers, as well as polishing all of our shoes. I ironed my knecker and my families, but also some spares incase anyone forgets theirs. We made sure that we had poppies, as we feel it is important that everyone had one while on parade.
Lest we forget.
