The night was pretty rough, with lots of rain and wind, but everyone was awake and ready for breakfast by 7. After breakfast, we washed up and then made sure we were ready for the day with every thing we needed. Then they gathered us together for the morning briefing, where they explained that the list of numbers we had on the card on our lanyard corresponded to the base we would be at at each time.

At 9:00, we went off to our first base. My first base was one where we were hypothetically waiting for the bus and had to occupy ourselves for 40 minutes. We ended up playing some games to get to know eachother, as most of us had never met eachother before. After that, we moved on and completed 2 more bases, before we went back to our subcamp to have lunch.

After lunch we had a few more bases to complete, before dinner.

After dinner, we had a briefing on what would be happening next. The whole evening was a chance to get to know more people, speak to others from different subcamps and just have some fun. Each subcamp set up a few activities, Canada had pancakes, which were pretty good. There was also live music in the marquee, which is where i spent most of my time, but I did also go down to the firecircle and I ran a few campfire songs with some other people that I had met. Eventually, everyone went to bed at 11 ish.

The rain was so harsh, and it made the ground very squishy, so bad that my tent peg ended up pulling out with my main guyline, and my tent collapsed and I had to go out in the rain at 4 in the morning to put it back up, before I went back to sleep.
